Research studies and findings have come to a conclusion that following healthy habits and behaviors could help tackle health issues such as cancer and related deadly diseases.
1. Exercise regularly: People who work out on a daily basis and are physically fit would usually have lower risk of getting cancers such as breast and colon cancers. It's not necessary that you need to be a super athlete in order to get the benefits of exercise. Any form of work out that makes you sweat like brisk walking, biking, dancing and aerobics etc will bring out better results. Maintain a BMI(Body Mass Index) of 25 or less than that. A raise in BMI would eventually result in various types of cancers.
2. Cut down on alcohol: Alcohol does not only put a load on your liver and slows
vitamin absorption, but is also a contributing factor to oral cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, oral cancer is six times more common in alcohol users than in people who don't drink. Limit your alcohol consumption.
3. Follow a healthy diet: Consume a colorful diet that is rich in green leafy vegetables, carrot and red tomatoes more. Include less amount of red meat. Avoid the consumption of processed and canned food items. Try having more of non-starchy vegetables and fruits daily. Also have a control on the intake of sugary food items, drinks, juices, desserts, candies and other confectioneries.
