Eat these to get a good nights sleep

The health benefits of a good night's rest are immense are countless. Sleep helps you be happy, makes your brain sharp and also makes the immune system strong enough.

Cherries: Cherries have good amount of melatonin, a chemical that helps control the overall metabolism of the body. Having a handful of cherries a few hours before going to bed will help you have a good sleep.

Dark chocolate: Dark chocolate also contains serotonin, which relaxes your body and mind. Not to mention the other health benefits dark chocolate has, too.

Whole-grain bread: Simple carbs such as candy and soda are good for boosting up your energy levels. Carbs like whole grains also tend to enhance the blood glucose levels. This is the reason why cards are important for working out but not for lunch.

Milk: Milk contains a chemical called tryptophan that helps drift off easily at night. Calcium is very effective in reducing stress levels, stabilizes nerve fibers that includes those in the brain too. Along with milk, you can eat other dairy products like yogurt and cheese.

Almonds: Almonds are great source of magnesium. Studies have found that body's magnesium. Almonds supply enough protein to help stabilize your blood sugar level while sleeping. They also help your body switch from your alert adrenaline cycle to your rest-and-digest cycle.

Honey: A spoonful of honey before going to sleep will help you have more restful sleep.

Herbal tea: To sleep better, avoid caffeine and alcoholic beverages in the evening. But you can surely enjoy a cup of herbal tea to aid sound sleep.
