The nutritional power of basil tea

Basil is cultivated mostly in high range areas and also is known as the queen of herbs. The essential nutrients present in basil includes iron, calcium, Vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese, magnesium, potassium and some dietary fibers.

1. Treatment of diabetes
The important oils that helps the pancreas to improve it's function and produce more insulin effectively. Diabetics always need to include this particular herb as a part of daily diet. Basil should never be taken as a substitute instead they can have about 2.5 grams of dried holy basil that is not meant to replace medication.

2. Heart care
Basil has got many valuable benefits. It appears to be effective in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Basil has got essence of vitamin C and other related antioxidants which protects your heart from harmful effects caused by the free radical present in your body.

3. Wholesome healing
Basil acts as an agent that helps improve your overall memory and also very useful in removing mucous from the bronchial tubes. When combined with honey and ginger, it can very effectively treat ill health conditions such as asthma, bronchitis and other such related respiratory problems.

4. Treatment of cold and fever
Many serious health conditions such as colds, fever, malaria etc can be treated using basil tea. Cough could even last for a long period of time, this condition can be put under control by having basil as the main ingredient for treating cold and fever.

5. Eye Health
Basil can be helpful to improve eyesight, especially if you have vitamin A deficiency. It can also be effective for cases of night blindness.
