Pomegranate is a fruit which consists of rich nutrients is otherwise called as ‘Anaar’ in Hindi. The fruit initially originated in the areas of Northern India , Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, though it also grows in Peninsular Malaysia, Southeast Asia, California, Armenia, tropical Africa and others. The fruit has got a very thick leathery kind of texture from outside that may be found in dark reddish-maroon,orange-yellow color.
The inner edible portion of the fruit consists of juicy seeds.
