A wrinkle is a fold, ridge or crease in the skin, which appears on the skin as the age gets advanced. Skin wrinkles appear as a result of aging processes habitual sleeping positions, loss of body mass, etc.
As you age, your skin loses its elasticity and the layer of fat under your face begins to thin, resulting in wrinkling. This can be put under control by following certain tips though wrinkling is an unavoidable process.
Quit Smoking:
We all know how bad it is for you. There are a million reasons not to smoke, and wrinkled skin is as good of a reason to quit as any.
Stay Hydrated:
Good skin starts from within. Stay hydrated with water, coconut water, and green tea (which is full of antioxidants). Not only is moisturizing from within important, but water rids your body of toxins.
Get adequate sleep:
A minimum of 6 hours sleep is necessary for having a healthy looking skin. Get enough rest which helps skin remain thick, more elastic, and less likely to wrinkle.
Avoid the sun:
Avoid going out in hot sun as much as possible. And if there is no alternative, always remember to use a sunscreen lotion before you step out in the sun. Wearing sunscreen! It will protect you from skin cancer, and help prevent wrinkles at the same time.
Eat Well:
Have a nutritious, balanced diet with plenty of water, tea and consume about eight to ten servings daily of fresh fruits and vegetables. Eating fish diet high in omega 3 fatty acids would also help prevent wrinkles.
