MDR-TB known as Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis is a dangerous type of TB. MDR-TB is more deadlier than majority of TB's. MDR-TB is quite difficult to diagnose and are only vulnerable to very specific drugs, which are limited or readily available.

Bedaquiline is the new drug approved by Food & Drug administration in 40 years for the treatment of tuberculosis.The Drug seems to be particularly effectiveagainst MDR-TB.

But the authors from CRAG , an international community based advisory board for the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions Tuberculosis Trial consortium highlighted that significantly more people who had been using Bedaquiline died compared to the patients taking other type of medically ineffectual treatment.CRAG also suggest that the Bedaquiline should be tested in population that have high consumption of alcohol and drugs.
