Just like having a balanced diet and practicing regular exercise, it is very important to stay healthy. Good sleep would help you have proper rest and thus gets energized. Here are certain tips that can be followed to get some good sleep:
Sleep at a fixed time:
There should be a proper time maintained for sleep. This does not imply that you should get to sleep at the same time. But to have proper sleep on a regular basis. Make sure that you follow this daily.
Do not go to bed right after dinner:
Always try to give a gap of at least two hours between dinner and bedtime. If your stomach is full you would keep tossing and turning. Take a shower before getting to bed as it would help you relax.
Wake up at the same time:
Just as the way you get to sleep at a fixed time, you must be able to wake up at the same time each day as well. You do not need an alarm in order to get up at the same time everyday.
Workout in the evenings:
It is mostly advised to begin your day with a proper workout, but working out in the evening is also effective. It helps burn most of your calories stored in body. Evening workouts would tire you, there by ensuring you some good sleep.
Do not carry a book to bed:
Avoid the habit of taking a book or reading material to your bed. As it might delay your sleeping time. Make sure that you finish reading on a couch or chair.
